Economic Package Cost

The density of POF shrink film is 0.92 and the minimal thickness is 9 micron, which means under equivalent condition, The weight of POF package is less and unit cost is lower. At meantime, POF shrink film has perfect printability. POF shrink film is printable using up to 10 colors to transform product appearance. Printed POF shrink film is capable of showcasing all content on all sides of multi-pack. As a result, more expensive and less environment-friendly options such as paperboard boxes can be elminated while brand image and recognition are enhanced.

Ourstanding Physical Properties

The characteristics of POF shrink film are even thickness, soft texture and extreme durability. It features high anti-puncture and anti-tear strength, premium free shrinkage and strong sealing. Also POF has excellent cold-resistance. It is neither stiff nor brittle under minus 50 centgrade and not easy to be broken. Additionally, POF shrink film can keep procuts clean and clear by anti-static and anti-fog treatment.

High-Grade Safety

POF shrink film is sanitary, environment-friendly and free-toxic so it has very high-grade safety. After packing, the four dog-corners of packaging are soft and it is not easy to hurt hand. In the process of production, POF will not emit toxic odour so that it will not do harm to works’ health. It is approved by FDA and USDA to contact with food directly.

  • What the difference of PE, PVC and POF?

    PVC
    PVC Shrink Wrap was the most commonly used shrink film, until the introduction several years ago of polyolefin (POF) shrink wrap. PVC has some disadvantages: 1, The film will be brittle in cold conditions and wrinkled under hot conditions, which will make PVC compromise the strength of the plastic. 2, PVC shrink film will emit harmful odors into the air while heated, which will do harm to workers’ health and proper ventilation must be required.

    POF
    As a thermoplastic, polyolefin is increasingly popular. It has taken the place of PVC in many applications. POF has some advantages comparing with PVC. 1, POF is less affected by temperature changes which means it is extremely durable. 2, POF will not release any harmful odors into air when heated, so POF shrink film is one of the most environment-friendly package material in market. Besides, POF shrink film features brilliant clarity and glossary, which will present a perfect appearance on shelf. This is essential for consumer products like candy, chocolate, book, toy, etc.

    PE
    While POF and PVC are limited in gauge thickness (usually to around 100 gauge), higher gauges of PE are possible up to 1200. These thicknesses are usually used in industrial applications. The main disadvantage of PE shrink film is its lower shrink rate. Usually, its shrinkage is only around 20%, far lower than POF’s 50%-75%. Also, PE shrink film has very low clarity.

    When PE is used in a shrink film application, it is loosely placed over item. It will shrink when heat is applied, creating a tight protection.
    When PE is used in stretch applications, it is formulated differently to be able to stretch around items. The elastic-memory of the film, along with its ability to cling to itself, keeps a tight layer of protection around the items.
    Stretch film usually stretches about 100-300%, whereas typical shrink film elongation is about 100%-120%.
    Stretch film is generally used for palletizing, or unitizing multiple items on a pallet while shrink film is generally used for single or multi-pack item.
