Full Biodegradability
Conventional POF shrink film can persist in the environment for hundreds of years, contributing to plastic pollution. In contrast, Sunward biodegradable POF shrink film is designed to have minimal impact on environment. It will biodegrade within 32 months to water, carbon dioxide and biomass without any microplastic and toxic substance left behind. Studies proves microplastic will contaminate soil and waterways and eventually enter our food chain to harm our health.
Other biodegradation e.g., compostable needs to manage plastic waste. Plastic waste needs to be collected and degrade in a specific condition i.e., industrial or house composting facilities. Sunward biodegradation targets on unmanaged plastic waste. The film will biodegrade in open-air terrestrial environment without any human interference.
Premium Mechanical Properties
The mechanical properties of Sunward biodegradable POF shrink film are the same with conventional ones, which means it shares the key properties of traditional POF shrink film. Technically, It is compatible with all types of packaging machines and there is no need to change any procedures during the process of production.
Sunward biodegradable POF shrink film can be widely used in industries of food & beverage, personal & household care, book & magazine, stationery, toy. plastic goods, etc. The available thicknesses of 15, 19, 25 and 38 microns can cater to a broad spectrum of packaging needs.
