Conventional stretch film can persist in the environment for hundreds of years, contributing to plastic pollution. In contrast, Sunward biodegradable stretch film is designed to have minimal impact on environment. It will biodegrade within 32 months to water, carbon dioxide and biomass without any microplastic and toxic substance left behind. Studies proves microplastic will contaminate soil and waterways and eventually enter our food chain to harm our health.
Other biodegradation e.g., compostable needs to manage plastic waste. Plastic waste needs to be collected and degrade in a specific condition i.e., industrial or house composting facilities. Sunward biodegradation targets on unmanaged plastic waste. The film will biodegrade in open-air terrestrial environment without any human interference.

Stretchability- Sunward biodegradable stretch film is able to stretch greatly without tearing or breaking, allowing the film to tightly conform to the shape of the load, ensuring secure containment.
Elasticity- Sunward biodegradable stretch film is able to return to its original shape after stretching. which helps maintain the integrity of the wrap.
Tackiness-Sunward biodegradable stretch film is able to adhere to itself effectively, preventing unwrapping and maintaining load stability.
